Squirmito- The Original Squiggly Worm Fly. This squiggly worm fly has the tendency to TEAR 'EM UP. Call what you may; squirmito, squirmie wormy, squiggly worm, blah, blah, blah. The only fly that I've used (in 34 years of fly fishing) that fish move 5 to 10 feet on a consistent basis. Keep in mind, this pattern will make you squeamish if you're a dry fly purist. Also, dont leave them in your vehicle or boat sitting in the hot sun (it'll melt).

Bubblegum Squirmy Does the Trick
I have consistently caught trout on this color squirmy worm in multiple rivers - the Chattahoochee, the Lower Saluda, the Watauga, the Yellowstone, the Big Horn, the Stillwater, and the South Holston. The worm does tend to tear up after multiple bites. So, its durability is the only characteristic that keeps it from receiving a 5-star rating. One "side note" - the shade of pink. The bubblegum shade of pink is the second best shade of pink I have used. The best shade of pink, based on my experiences, is a neon pink that is a little darker in shade but more vivid, lively, and has a higher degree of visibility. I was told this neon pink has to be purchased outside the US since it is not available in the USA (so I was told). Casters Fly Shop may want to consider including this neon pink into its "arsenal" for colors for squirmy worms. I will be happy to mail an example of this shade of pink to Casters upon request. I have also started catching several rainbow trout using the glow-in-dark, blood red, and fiery orange versions of the squirmy worm. These colors are a closed "second" to the pink versions. The best color in my opinion for a squirmy worm is the fiery red. It is tops. I base this comment on my experiences. In closing, the squirmy is an excellent fly. I would stick to the colors above. I have yet to try other colors (tan, blue, black). So, we will have to wait and see how those work.

Sqirm worm works
This baby works. Catches fish when other flies do not. I have it in multiple colors. After a few fish they seem to fall apart but I guess that's true with many flies.

It works
Caught a number of fish with this fly. Similar to the San Juan but more lively and flexible. The blood worm red is my favorite color though the other colors produce too.

A great "go-to"
For me, it takes the guess-work out of what pattern fly to use. It just works.

Squirmie Wormie works for trout
I was quite surprised ny the success I've had using the suirmy wormy for trout. when nothing else was working and I didn't want to go to night crawlers like my brother, i put on the squirmy and caught several nice fish. Works well with an indicator Hot pink and red are my choice. had some issues with a few but Dave was super quick about replacing and always more than generous about it.

Great pattern but needs to be sturdier
Love this pattern! Pink, red, orange always produce. Downside is they don't hold up. Need to either add dubbing to the body or a slightly larger diameter material. Also, make sure to keep them out of the heat as they will melt and be ruined.
