Great hooks for tying crawfish patterns!
I’ve been looking for a good hook style to tie crawfish patterns And the Ahrex Gammarus hook is perfect! You can get all the materials for legs, fillers, and body on this hook and still have plenty of clearance for sure hook ups! I highly recommend it Dave

The best brand of hooks
This brand has quickly become my absolute favorite. They are strong, don’t bend easily, large gape and very sharp. My only regret is not using them sooner. Ordering from Casters is easy and their personal service is exceptional

Sharp and strong!
I purchased these hooks from Dave’s shop via Caster’s website. I knew they would be a solid choice for tying Chocklett’s feather gamechangers, since I feel Dave wouldn’t carry a product that would be subpar... I was not disappointed. The Ahrex NS172 was the perfect choice for the front hook. It has a short shank and wide hook gap, making the fly easier to attain a “neutral” angle in the water, without the need for additional weight. Great option for those of us who use sink tips to get a fly down in the water column.

Very nice with multiple uses.
This hook is pretty awesome. From grubs to baitfish patterns, this short shank large gape hook does it all. Super sharp and robust.

Clearly one of the best hooks on the market! These things are SHARP! One of the best points I have come across. You owe it to yourself to get some.
