Daiichi 1110 Big Eye Hook in Straight-Eye Style- This hook was designed by Jim Lepage and the Orvis Co. and patented as the "Big Eye" hook, in 1990. The Orvis 4641 or Daiichi 1110 features an oversized eye to facilitate easy threading of tippet material, and has the dimensions of a modern dry fly hook, including a slightly wider gape than a Mustad 94840 standard dry fly hook. Daiichi 1110 Big Eye Hook in Straight-Eye Style is chemically sharpened— every hook is extremely sharp. Deep bronzing for exceptional rust resistance. 1 XWide, 1 XFine, Big Eye, perfect Bend. Size 22 Big Eye hooks have the same size eye as a conventional size 16 hook! All of this comes with only a minuscule 4.5% increase in weight. Good hooks for Old eyes
Good for old eyes and small flys. Works with fly snaps also.

Superb hook
Solid hook. Great size for tying the small winter dries we fish in Idaho. Easy to tie flies with the right proportions. And my old eyes can see the hook eye, making the tie-on easier and faster in our rivers.
