Pro Hook Guides
The Pro Hook Guide is a durable, flexible, and removable hook holder, available in fish-attracting colors or hot spots that are favored by salmon and steelhead tube fly tyers and anglers.
Made from silicone, the Pro Hook Guide is compatible with a wide range of hooks. Ring-eye hooks slip easily into the guide and stay securely in place. The large size accommodates hooks typically used for salmon and steelhead (sizes 1-6, depending on the hook design), while the small version fits hooks ranging from size 6 to 10.
What sets the Pro Hook Guide apart is its perfect fit for octopus-style stinger hooks, commonly used on long, trailing hackle Steelhead and Salmon Intruder flies. The flexible, smaller opening of the silicone guide holds knots, such as double surgeon’s or Uni non-slip loop knots, more securely than the larger opening of a Pro Flexi Tube.
The Pro Sportfisher Hook Guide fits seamlessly on Pro Micro Tubes and is ideal for tying flies with ring-eye hooks positioned close to the fly body or with trailer-style stinger hooks placed behind the tube fly body, often at the tail end of the wing or trailing flash material.
