Hise Helgi the Hellgrammite
Let me introduce you to Helgi, the Hellgrammite. Hellgrammites, or toe-biters, are the larvae of the eastern dobsonflies. They are aquatic, somewhat flattened, and usually some shade of dark brown, tan, or black. The head is equipped with a pair of large, sharp pincers that can deliver a painful bite. Many species of fish love them, particularly smallmouth bass. Size 4.
