Hise's Gooey Caddis Larva- This caddis larval/grub pattern is extremely effective for both trout and steelhead. Fish it under a bobber or high stick/Czech nymph it for the best results. It is most effective in fast riffle sections, and at the head of the pools below these fast riffle sections. These fast water sections are the primary habitat of many caddis families, particularly those named Hydrosychidae. This family makes up over 60% of fishable caddis in many trout streams across North America.
